re recruitment are proud to be working with our illustrious client based in newent gloucestershire. we are looking to support our client in finding them a fulltime accounts assistant on a fulltime basic monday to friday.

our client promotes the value of self-progression and continuous improvement; the accounts assistant position is one where you can contribute to the success of the company. the position is offered on a permanent basis subject to successful probation period. we are looking for full time hours working 8:30am - 5:00pm monday - friday.

the ideal candidate will perform a quick-paced, and vital role within the finance team based at their headquarters in newent, gloucester. you will need to be organised and practical in a busy office environment, where communication and accuracy are paramount daily, between not only each member of the team but colleagues across the business. you will need to be able to always retain a professional manner, keep cool under pressure, and be an efficient and effective member of the team. flexibility is vital within this small team.

being attentive to detail, able to multitask and well organised daily are key skills to perform this role, along with a willingness to learn, and be a team player to ensure that all finance tasks within the group are controlled and completed on an accurate and timely basis.

responsibilities and duties (not limited to):

- assist with the purchase ledger

- responsibility of company card usage monitoring

- administration of petty cash

- assist with day-to-day sales procedures (including invoicing, credit notes and customer receipts)

- ad hoc assignments

- support the finance team with general administrative duties

- assist other departments as and when needed.

- any other duties deemed reasonable by management

ideally, you do need to have worked in an account's environment previously. have a working knowledge of microsoft office packages. microsoft dynamics experience would be an advantage.

- experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

- good organisational and administrative skills

- good communication skills

- good level of both written and verbal english and mathematics skills

- be a team player and enjoy working with others to achieve set targets

- good concentration with a methodical thought process

- accuracy with an attention to detail.
