gi group are currently recruiting 2 home delivery drivers to join our well established client in patchway, bristol.

pay rate - £11.75 per hour

duration - temporary ongoing

working days - monday to friday

shift times - 5.30am - 1.30pm

reporting to - transport manager

successful candidates will be picking, loading, and delivering products to our customers, ensuring you are complying with all relevant health & safety and due diligence needs, playing a key part at each product's touch point to ensure our customers receive their orders exactly when they need them. it is so much more than just driving; you will be the person delivering smiles right to our customers doors, ready for that special occasion.

requirements for home delivery drivers:

* drivers must be at least 18 years old

* hold uk/eu manual driving licence for 12 months + and no more than 6 points on licence

* have experience of driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle within last 3 years

* must not have been banned previously

* basic dbs check (in current climate, driver would be able to start work whilst the dbs check is still in progress)

you will be expected to provide anti-slip footwear

you will have good customer service skills

good communication skills

* loading the van for deliveries at the start of the shift

* using a hand held app to follow delivery patterns

* preparing and safely operating a vehicle for the majority of the shift

* maintaining a clean and tidy work space

* lifting heavy goods

* delivering all items accurately within an agreed timescale

* ensuring every customer has a positive and enjoyable shopping experience

* must have held a valid licence for a minimum of 12 months

* must have driven a 3.5tn vehicle for any period of time within the last 6 months

* no more than 6 points on licence for minor offences

* no major offences

* commit to the same shift pattern weekly for 3 months

* complete an induction before your first shift. these are normally run on tuesdays.

* dbs is required
