Electronics technician - united states, windsor

our client in windsor, ct is a manufacturer of measuring instruments and x-ray products. here is your chance to work with them as an electronics technician. previous experience and/or electronics certifications is preferred. this is a temp to hire opportunity (30 day temp/training period).

major duties and responsibilities:

manufacture and calibration of tactile units & probes.

perform necessary service and certification to customer repairs.

performs all necessary paperwork and data entry for the repair department

alert supervisor to irregularities, which could affect the quality, safety or performance of the product.

accurately and completely fill out 9001 & 17025 certification results

performs other duties as requested by director of operations

education/experience:

associates degree in electronics or 2-year technician school certificate

a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience troubleshooting electronic equipment, or fischer will provide on the job training.

special skills:

capable of troubleshooting and system diagnostics with schematics and mechanical diagrams

familiar with typical electronic diagnostic test methods and equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

work with standard hand tools, soldering equipment, etc.

computer hardware and software skills:

mechanical aptitude is essential.

able to lift 50 pounds
