east sussex healthcare nhs trust is looking to recruit 20 + new to care healthcare support workers

healthcare assistants are responsible for providing a range of personalised care for patients in support of and supervised by a registered nurse.

these vacancies are open to individuals who,

• have never worked in healthcare (in the nhs) but are interested in a change of career

• have a genuine desire to work in a healthcare setting

• have previous work experience and can demonstrate transferable skills

• are able to commit to a full week fast track training programme at the start of their employment

• are willing to be allocated to work at any of our acute and community settings

• are able to work flexibly (across a range of shifts) to meet the needs of our services, including days, nights and weekends.

• are capable of successfully completing the mandatory care certificate training

preference will be given to applicants who have level 2 qualifications in english and maths, although support to study these may be given for excellent candidates.

they support the effective operation of the ward and community home based environment by undertaking a range of non-clinical activities which contribute to a comfortable and stress-free experience for patients and the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
