education and qualification:
bachelors’ degree in electrical/mechanical engineering with minimum 6 years of working experience with generator installation, testing, commissioning, o&m, pm&cm, etc.

job description:
1. installation, configuration, testing, calibration and commissioning of various range of diesel generators.
2. troubleshooting, o&m and pm & cm servicing of a wide range of diesel generators and engines.
3. identification and diagnosis of faults and subsequent rectification and testing of equipment. and, analyze conditions reported from the field and determine actions to resolve issues timely and efficiently.
4. lead root cause investigations for issues with significant impact from initial investigation through the corrective and preventive action phases.
5. support and coordinate with interfacing organizations to fulfill customer needs. and, providing troubleshooting guidelines, and recommendations for improved reliability & availability.
6. communicate technical justification & progress across all levels of internal & external organizations, including operators and executive leaders.
7. provide technical coverage from new unit installation & commissioning to operations & maintenance for critical issues.
8. basic generator electrical / mechanical / engine issues repairing and replacing components.
9. generator load testing. performing load bank tests and safety tests to examine the generator load capacity and safety parameters
10. interface with customer personnel to coordinate work and provide progress; customer liaison, update and ensure complete customer satisfaction
11. prepare and submit accurate reports regarding conditions, required actions and obtained results.
12. perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on power diesel generators, including checking electro-mechanical systems, components, and connections.
13. determining reason of fault and repairing or replacing engine parts like harness, sensors, avr, efc card, actuator, and controller.
14. troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, such as faulty wiring, circuit breakers, control panels, and voltage irregularities.
15. repair or replace electrical components, including switches, relays, motors, and sensors.
16. install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including generator control panels, switchgear, and wiring.
17. conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on power diesel generators, including engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
18. diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, such as abnormal noises, vibration, leaks, and performance inefficiencies.
19. perform engine overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, reconditioning, and reassembly of engine components.
20. repair or replace mechanical components, such as pistons, valves, bearings, gaskets, filters, and belts.
21. perform alignments, adjustments, and calibrations on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
22. maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
23. adhere to safety protocols and comply with relevant mechanical codes and regulations.
24. on site and off-site customer trainings.


experience for generator engineers:
1. the candidate will have a good ability and aptitude to be able to carry out temporary repairs to keep the client operational whilst the correct parts are ordered.
2. previous experience working on generators such as perkins & cummins would be advantageous.
3. strong knowledge of electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
4. strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, valves, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
5. proficient in reading and interpreting electrical / mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
6. skilled in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
7. fully familiar with programming control screens and ats boards with deep knowledge of installation and configuration and hands on experience of handling of different ats and amf.
8. excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical problems efficiently.
9. ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements.
10. strong communication and interpersonal skills.

2. excellent communication skills in english and/or arabic.
