Duties and responsibilities5.1    abides by the medical staff bylaws, code of medical ethics, rules and regulations of the medical staff and those specific to the department/division.5.2    provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.5.3    provides comprehensive information to the patients regarding their illness and to participate in all related educational activities.5.4    carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the consultant/senior registrar in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.5.5    participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.5.6    participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (continuous quality and patients safety programme, quality assessment improvement programme) as applicable.5.7    instructs and guides when necessary junior medical staff in the overall care of patients, supervises their performance/work and contributes to the training and teaching activities in the department/division.5.8     reports and discusses all unusual findings, complication or alterations in the management plan, with the consultant/senior registrar.5.9     fulfills the requirements of the saudi council for health specialties with regard to continuing medical education.5.10  to works towards completing his post graduate training and obtaining the final part of his board or fellowship.5.11   attends the continuing medical education programme of the department/division.5.12   to acquire and maintain valid certification in advanced cardiac life support (acls).5.13  participates in the approved research projects. 5.14   shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.5.15   strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.5.16   participates in the major disaster plan of the hospital, as indicated.5.17   performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employees knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.skillsas per attached jpb descriptioneducationgraduate from a recognized medical school. master degree or equivalent qualification in nephrology.
