2. job description
◇ hierarchically to the project quality manager;
◇ accountable to evaluate and qualify construction on contractor for capital project;
◇ review and approve itp, wps & pqr;
◇ perform welder qualification;
◇ be familiar regarding the welding processes and their relative advantages, disadvantages and the type of welding consumables;
◇ and equipment applicable to each type
◇ be able to perform trouble shooting in case of repetitive welding defects;
◇ manage to supervise quality of construction contractor and subcontractor’s daily installation activities, take proactive corrective actions against any deviations of quality;
◇ manage the welding quality control and organize control system in site;
◇ cooperate with the third party testing agency (ndt);
◇ manage the treatment and close of non conformance report, as well as includes rectification, preventive measures and quality documents to be submitted to local inspection bureaus.

3. competency & certification requirements
◇ bachelor in engineering (mechanical, welding and etc.)
◇ minimum 8 years of experience in industries of chemical, petrochemical, power plants, environmental plants or other heavy industries or infrastructure.
◇ american welding society cwi, cswip 3.1 certified welding inspector is must
◇ nace level ii critical coatings certification is a plus
◇ asnt level ii or iii is a plus
◇ english: fluent speaking and good writing are required
◇ awareness of health & safety and environment protection and prevention on site
