job summary: as a qa/qc manager , you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the entire product development lifecycle. you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and management, to ensure that all products/services meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations. your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify areas for improvement will be essential in driving continuous improvement efforts.
key responsibilities:
quality assurance (qa) activities:
 develop and implement comprehensive qa plans, procedures, and policies to ensure product/service quality and compliance with industry standards.
 conduct regular inspections and audits of construction processes, materials, and finished products to identify deviations, defects, or non-conformances.
 work with the development team to define test requirements and specifications for new products/services or modifications to existing ones.
 perform thorough testing, including functional, performance, usability, and regression testing, to validate product functionality and performance.
quality control (qc) activities:
 prepare mir, wir and t&c plan for clients review and approval.
 prepare work method statement as per project requirement
 prepare and compile mir, wir and t&c log and keep updated regular basis.
 prepare and submit testing & commissioning plan for client approval along with schedule of t&c from supplier and subcontractor.
 establish and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process to prevent defects and ensure product consistency.
 monitor and analyze construction data, test results, and inspection reports to identify trends and areas of concern.
 initiate corrective and preventive actions (capas) for identified quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
 collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality standards and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
 process improvement:
 continuously assess and improve quality control processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining or improving product quality.
 participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address recurring quality issues and prevent their reoccurrence.
 propose and implement process improvements, quality tools, and methodologies to drive quality excellence across the organization.
 documentation and reporting:
 maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of qa/qc activities, test results, and compliance records.
 generate periodic reports on quality performance metrics, defect rates, and other relevant data for management review.
 training and collaboration:
 provide training and support to team members regarding qa/qc principles, methodologies, and best practices.
 collaborate with cross-functional teams, including r&d, construction, and customer support, to ensure seamless integration of qa/qc practices.
qualifications and skills:
bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management (diploma not acceptable)
proven work experience as a qa/qc manager or similar role for 5-7 years in ksa.
strong understanding of qa/qc principles, methodologies, and best practices.
proficiency in quality management tools and software.
excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision.
effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams.
knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
certifications in quality management (e.g., six sigma, iso 9001) are a plus.
