We are seeking a distribution center officer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our distribution center. as a distribution center officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure, efficient facility that upholds safety standards and meets customer expectations. the ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent leadership and communication skills.supervise daily operations in the distribution center, ensuring that products are received, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently.monitor inventory levels and track product movement to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy in the distribution process.collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes and systems that improve the overall efficiency of the distribution center.maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility to meet company and regulatory standards and minimize risk of accidents or injuries.develop and implement strategies to increase productivity, decrease costs, and improve customer satisfaction.manage and motivate a team of distribution center staff, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance evaluations are upheld.conduct regular audits and assessments of the facility to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions and achieve continuous process improvement.skillsbachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, business administration or a related field.at least 5 years of experience in distribution center management.knowledge of osha and other regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices related to distribution center operations.strong leadership and decision-making skills with proven ability to manage staff and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams.excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.proficiency in microsoft office suite and experience with warehouse management systems (wms), enterprise resource planning (erp), and transportation management systems (tms) is preferred.
