I. position summary this is a contract position, based at the neom green hydrogen elements (ghe) project site location, working a 8 x 2 weeks’ rotational assignment. the project is being executed by the air products neom green hydrogen project (nghp) – green hydrogen elements (ghe) project execution team and is expected to last approximately 48 months.the incumbent is responsible for supporting and supervising the implementation of any construction equipment and tool related eh&s requirements as defined in the project eh&s plans & procedures, incl. all air products, contractor and supplier representatives’ equipment and tools. it is air products’ objective to achieve highest standards and performance levels during the execution of all project related activities, which includes the use of safety, properly services, maintained and inspected/certified equipment. the incumbent will work closely with the contractor organizations and their assigned equipment inspectors and reports to the eh&s manager.the incumbent is expected to have detailed knowledge of eh&s requirements and best practices related to equipment management and extensive work experience in this area. iii, nature and scope description: green hydrogen element of neom green hydrogen project is a processing facility that will extract hydrogen from water with the use of wind and solar energy and ultimately produce green ammonia.project location: neom green hydrogen, northwest of the kingdom of saudi arabia, near duba town.v. principal accountabilities this position is accountable for the following end results: 1)  support the full implementation of the project eh&s plan2)  oversight of the overall project equipment inspection process (cranes, mobile construction equipment, tools etc.)3)  define the detailed project construction equipment inspection plans & procedures incl. pre-mobilization/pre-use and periodic inspection programs and any supporting tools and documents required4)  ensure defined processes are understood, audited, reviewed and continuously improved5)  establish a program of inspections and audits in accountable area6)  monitor adherence to defined plans & procedures7)  monitor and coach contractor organization incl. inspectors and organize trainings as needed8)  promote the development of a ‘total safety culture’7)  support incident investigations in accountable area8)  cooperate closely with client and contractor organizations skillsability to control demeanor and act confidently in challenging and emergency circumstances.proficient with risk identification alongside dynamic problem resolution.capable of identifying potential health hazards and risks and developing appropriate prevention measures.familiar with computers and related software, including ms office.vi. minimum requirements and qualifications bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplinenebosh international general certificate or equivalentproficient third-party certification e.g., certificate from the saudi petroleum services polytechnic (spsp) or other recognized (inter-)national body12 years’ experience on international mega-projects6 years’ experience in supervisory role in construction motor pool or similar environmentpassion for systematic, structured, and pro-active eh&s managementdemonstrated ability and experience to prepare project eh&s documents (policies, plans and procedures)fluent spoken and written englishfamiliar with all aspects of construction equipment and tool safetybeing a good team player, good communication and interpersonal skillsphysically fit and able to spend a large proportion of the day on siteability to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix with a variety of working relationshipswillingness to travel and be based in remote location advantages:knowledge and experience of industrial gas projects, especially in ksaknowledge and experience of epc managementpossess driving license
