Design & review of instrumentations systems, technical evaluations, review of vendor documents and assist during commissioning of existing and new installationsprovides input to department and functions policies and procedure in line with the company objectivesreview and provide support for process control system design including engineering and factory testing / site testing.prepare & execute maintenance projects, taking into account technology compatibility, and financial feasibility.provide technical guidance to assess plant technical issues during operations and project executions.track & monitor equipment performanceconduct high level electrical problem solvingwork with other site expertise and 3rd party engineering firms to address long term instrumentation challenges.work along with reliability & operational team on bad actor eliminations by applying root cause analysis methods.develop and maintain equipment maintenance strategies by applying rcm methodologyprovide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineersensures that all unit equipment documentation is complete, accurate and updated (data & spec sheets).reviewing & updating of instrumentation procedures. skillsproficient in writing and editing of project specifications and technical reports.strong written and oral communication skills.advanced troubleshooting skills and well versed in root cause analysis methodology.comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgment and decision makingable to demonstrate technical knowledge with multiple plant control systems used in chemical/ petrochemical /oil and gas facilities including distributed control systems (dcs), emergency shutdown systems (esd), and programmable logic controllers (plc). education : b.s. in instrumentation / electronics / diploma in instrumentation / electronics7 years’ experience in a heavy chemical / petrochemical industry as instrumentation engineer. 10 years’ experience in heavy chemical / petrochemical industry as instrumentation specialist.
