Project description: saudi arabian bechtel company is providing project management consultancy (pmc) services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the neom infrastructure in the kingdom of saudi arabia.  neom is a planned city in the tabuk province of northwestern saudi arabia. neom will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. it will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.  summary: the precast erection manager – oxagon to red desert wts; the primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the precast installation and the tasks that precede and follow it until the hand over. to ensure the efficient and safe erection of these elements while adhering to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.  essential job duties: review project plans and specifications related to precast element installation.develop erection plans, including sequencing, lifting procedures, and equipment requirements.coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders for site access and preparation including ehs team.manage the installation of precast concrete elements according to the approved plans and schedules.ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all phases of installation.conduct on-site inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of installations.collaborate with installation crews, crane operators, and other personnel/contractors involved in the erection process.provide guidance and training to site crews on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.address any issues or challenges that arise during installation, resolving them in a timely and effective manner.work closely with concerned teams to resolve technical or design-related issues on-site.ensure that precast elements are installed accurately and in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.document installation procedures, deviations, and any necessary adjustments made during the process.maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders regarding installation progress, challenges, and solutions.prepare reports detailing installation and other activities, timelines, and any relevant issues encountered. skillsqualifications, experience, job knowledge and skill set requirements:   a recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in in an engineering or construction discipline.minimum 20 years of experience in construction industry.  experience on large scale potable water or wastewater facility construction projects experience in similar role, with a contractor or pmc company with construction responsibilitytraining of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work done effectively.provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their workdelegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.experience in ksa / middle east / gcc is preferred.must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment between all parties including the client, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor’s staff and construction managers and/or engineers.experience of working and living in remote camp locations is preferred.
