Senior responder - oil spill response osr - saudi arabia, alkhafji

The senior responder's role and responsibilities will include: - assist in the establishment of the tier 1 response capabilities, personnel, and equipment - coach and mentor the other osr personnel - supervise maintenance of the oil spill equipment and ensure response readiness. - oversee and deliver training to the response team. - plan, develop, and manage periodic osr drills, exercises, and equipment deployments. - oversee response operations if an oil spill incident occurs, as directed by company. - provide company incident management team with osr technical advice. - to lead a team of oil spill combat to ensure that any oil spill situations are appropriately contained and controlled so as to mitigate any adverse effects on the environment. ensure that all oil spill response equipment is adequately maintained and serviced to meet operable conditions at all times, supervise the day-to-day operations, ensure that work processes are implemented as designed, and comply with established standards and procedures. - provide work direction and technical guidance for activities related to marine pollution control. - provide technical engineering direction and advice to pollution control units during their clean-up activities. - provide technical engineering expertise to company in regard to maintenance of existing equipment and preparation of equipment specifications.- participate with the regional oil spill coordinator in the preparation of oil spill contingency plans.skillsqualifications: - having b. sc. degree or higher in a mechanical/ electrical/ marine/ environmental engineering field. - having a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in oil industries as a team leader of oil spill combat or having held the same type of position for at least five (5) years for a similar type/ size project. - having sufficient knowledge about the oil spill response equipment, response strategies, and technology. - having an oil spill response equipment training certificate from a manufacturer and an oil spill response from an accredited institution (value-added). - having training imo oil pollution preparedness, response and co-operation (oprc) level-3. - having a background as a team leader/ responder and supervising spill clean-up operations. - having sufficient knowledge in the operation of motum, oil map software is an added value. - has attended leadership training and managed a small team or has held a similar post for at least three (3) years. - must have completed all sea survival, huet, safety courses/ h&s awareness, firefighting, h2s, and bosiet training. - excellently level of written and spoken english.- must be able to create oil spill daily/ operation/ incident reports for offshore/nearshore and onshore (company and government).- strong hqse knowledge and understanding. - good knowledge and awareness related to oil spill strategy. - computer skills. microsoft office (min: word, excel, and ppt), and email.
