Essential functionsleading a project team in building a successful project, managing day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers, contract administration, procurement, estimating, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, cost control, scheduling, tracking submittals, safety controls, maintaining and delivering a high level of quality.provides site engineering services on multiple public sector engineering projects and acts as the company’s representative in the field with contractors, vendors, and other external parties on projects involving prefabricated units’ installation, demolition, renovation, interior and wood works, and other structural work, including mep elements integrations for the project on site.supervises, coordinates, and tracks all field site activities and provides technical advice on construction and design; executes corrective action using engineering design on projects to resolve issues;responds to requests for information from contractors by interpreting plans and specifications by utilising advanced knowledge of engineering and experience; documents contractor performance;regularly reviews engineering design, plans, and reviews contract submittals and applications to vendors;leads on-site technicians and labourers to effectively observe work in progress in accordance with project requirements and to ensure that project records are properly maintained;monitors the progress of the project in accordance with contract cost and schedule, including project timelines and specifications, and holds progress meetings as required;​ensures all project documentation is completed and submitted as required, and completes necessary project close-out processes;implements and follows company and project safety protocol;all related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.skillsqualificationsbachelor's degree in civil engineering5-10 years related engineering experience with a strong emphasis in the executing construction projects of co, industrial, and/or prefabricated units projectsstrongly proficient at understanding and interpret written specifications, plans, and construction documents for work orders and build documentsability to effectively and tactfully communicate with foremen, technicians, and labourers, regarding construction objectives ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with clients, supervisors, and inspectors regarding specifications detail-oriented, with capability to detect non-conformities during testing procedures and complete detailed reports within a timely manner;proficient with information such as bills of material, drawings, design data and design standardsstrong communication, technical, and computer skillsestimating experience is a plusprimavera/microsoft project scheduling is preferredbenefitshousing or living expenseshealth insuranceemployee assistance program30 days annual leave
