Position overviewunder general direction of an engineering team lead, the structural project engineer develops and executes projects of standard design structures and customizes standard designs to meet order-specific customer requirements following industry’s safety and quality standards. represents the company in communication and coordination with customers and suppliers. locationsaudi arabiaessential duties and responsibilitiesindependently completes all project activity as delegated by the engineering team lead or engineering manager. projects can be either project-based manufacturing design process to comply with building regulation and standards or mass production design process execution to comply with the factory specifications. contributes ideas for further improvementscompletes work on each project respecting adherence to design standards. all work must be completed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. manages multiple projects at various stages of engineering process including: - customer coordination and communication - initial project sketch / drawing and analysis - approval drawings review and submittals to customer - approval drawing returned from customer - revisions and project change documents - final detail drawing checking and approvals - calculation packets- analysis for submittals - calculates project cost changes and scope changes and communicating those cost changes to sales or project management to negotiate with customermaintains and updates project database for respective projectsprovides guidance and technical support to project manager, engineers and draftersindependently completes complex production designs through utilisation of design standards and tools in a cad modelling environment, often working outside the scope of the toolsskillsqualifications: experience and educationbachelor's or master's degree in civil / structural engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited university5-10 years related structural engineering experience with a strong emphasis in the design of buildings, industrial, and/or environmental structuresstrongly proficient with various structural design and analysis softwarecad modelling software knowledge required2-5 years of applicable experience in material handling equipment product and process design preferredstrongly proficient with information such as bills of material, drawings, design data and design standardsstrong communication, technical, and computer skillsother skillsability to work independently when solving problems, but using good judgment in seeking guidance where appropriateability to communicate with other internal departments: drafting, engineering and project managementbenefitshousing or living expenseshealth insuranceemployee assistance program30 days annual leave
