Our client is a leading solar pv developer and epc, specializing in commercial and industrial solar projects. they are currently seeking a senior design engineer to join their team.responsibilities:lead detailed engineering design workstreams and manage other design engineers/draftsmensupervise the production of high-quality detailed design drawings (electrical, mechanical, and civil), including reviewing and providing detailed feedback on draft deliverablesperform and check all required electrical engineering calculations, including sizing of pv systems, ess, inverters, switchgear, cables, and stringsevaluate different technology, component, and supplier optionsensure designs are compliant with relevant regulations, standards, and codesoptimize designs for performance, cost, and constructabilitydevelop and maintain internal design styles, standards, and templatesbuild and develop supplier relationshipsprovide technical support to business development, installation, and o&m teamsskillsrequirements:4-6 years of solar pv design experience at the c&i scale, ideally including some hybrid/ess systems8+ years of experience in relevant industriesdegree in electrical/power systems engineeringstrong attention to detail and pride in delivering to high standardsexpert knowledge of core software packages such as autocad and pvsystgood existing knowledge of industry best practice and international standardsstrong communication skills in english (written and spoken)a growth mindset, with a willingness to learn and master new technical matters quicklylong-term commitment to being a part of a growing businessadvantages:experience working on utility-scale solar pv projectsexperience working on non-solar lv electrical systems, mv electrical systems, or communication and control/scada systemsknowledge of other relevant software packagesrelevant specialized traininggood understanding of the economics of pv projectsarabic language skillsthe client offers:a competitive salary, dependent on experience and locationhousing allowance (additional 20% of base salary)comprehensive health insurance (for in-office staff only)25 days of paid annual leaveshares in the business after year 1, as part of the employee ownership schemea young, international, and dynamic team environmenta flexible and supportive office and work environment
