Monitor the operation parameters of the system at local and coordinate with the ccr operator in regard to all related activities that affect operation. responsible for safe start up/shut down of the plant as per the standard operating procedures.s. no.responsibility1comply with safety rules and regulations. be familiar with the fire equipments in his area.follow the instructions of the shift supervisor and ccr operator.2coordinate with the shift supervisor and with other operators in regard to all activities that affectthem. monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the logbook.3inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters arewithin limits. report abnormalities to the ccr operator and shift supervisor.4perform equipment change over according to preset schedules. raise work requests or defectnotes for faulty equipment.5coordinate with shift supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipments and system before andafter maintenance. maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.6assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.7follow standard procedures8use proper ppes and implement prescribed risk controls9report deviations in quality, health and safety management system10report emergencies and near misses 11ensure proper waste disposal measures12perform other duties as assignedskillsgeneric awareness of quality, occupational health & safety and environment management system principlesknowledge of identification, classification and disposal of wasteknowledge of emission monitoringknowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plantknowledge of firefighting equipmentknowledge of ppe and safety equipmentknowledge of first aid measureshould be well conversed with desalination operational activities.
