Senior accountant - o2c | finance shared service center | corporate servicesjob purposeas an (o2c) senior accountant in group finance shares service centre (fssc), he/she will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of the o2c function whilst complying with organization’s policies and procedures and ensuring necessary checks and balances to mitigate risks:this position will be responsible for the following.provide daily partnering support to business operations by assisting in o2c activitiescollateral security management, which includes pdcs, bank guarantees, security cheques etc.identify, highlight, and expedite timely action to resolve exceptions / interface fallouts by performing review, reconciliation, and substantiation of o2c accounts and reports.highlight receivables and overdues position to business to facilitate their follow-up and collection activitiesensure adequate provision is created for doubtful debts as per company policy and ifrs standardhighlight risks and exceptions based on daily review of collection control accounts and ensure resolution of exceptions within sla by escalating in a timely mannercreate and maintain various master record for the o2c activitiesperform assigned month end book closing tasks within o2cmonitor the ongoing automated activities and ensure continuity of daily taskssupport with resolution of audit requests (internal and external) within the submission timelinesidentify and support on standardization and improvement initiatives within the o2c functionmanage projects/testing as and when it is required by the department or sbussupport colleagues while they are on leave key accountabilitiestimely o2c partnering support to business in day-to-day operationspdc management, which includes pdc collection, warehousing, banking, maturing, hold / postponement etcdaily collection control account monitoring and exception managementperform monthly / periodic reconciliation and substantiation of o2c accounts and highlight exceptions and related risks to the businesspreparation and circulation of periodic o2c exception reports & dashboards to stakeholdersperform assigned month end book closing tasks within o2ccomputation of provision for doubtful debts in accordance with policyidentify and support process standardization and improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality of reporting for fssc o2c processesmanage projects/testing as and when it is required by the department or sbusany other o2c activities assigned from time to timeskillsqualifications, experience, & skills education qualification:finance graduate or semi-qualified or qualified or equivalent qualificationsminimum experience and knowledge:minimum 2-5 years’ similar experience, with a good knowledge of erp systems.job-specific/technical skills required to complete the tasks:good accounting knowledge (ifrs knowledge is preferred)analytical as well as process orientedexcellent communication skillsprior working knowledge in erp systems (ex: sap)knowledge of excel, power point and other microsoft office toolsdetail-oriented and organizedbehavioral competencies:organization: must possess the drive to learn, prioritize and manage workload with minimum supervisioncommunication: effectively communicate/liaise with internal/external contactsteam player: should enjoy working in a team and be able to solve problems and resolve issues in an amicable mannershould have interpersonal and delegation capabilitiesshould comply with al-futtaim core values: respect, integrity, collaboration and excellence
