Duties and responsibilitiesensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of nursing care, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the prince sultan cardiac center.acts as a role model in providing safe and high quality patient care.helps in optimizing resources to improve safety and quality of patient care.ensures all nursing resources systems are facilitated and made available to the nursing department.identifies information system applications that support or enhance nursing practice.coordinates the research, selection and planned implementation process for all new nursing applications and proposed clinical information systems.performs as a team leader to bring together all aspects of treatment options and best practice research.organises data collection, interpretation and report writing in order to make patient care more efficient and of a high standard.accurately and promptly analyses the impact of information technology in clinical work processes. communicates issues/topics with team members, nursing leadership, and it department.participates in the process of revising and implementing changes in both automated and manual components of the clinical information systems. responds appropriately and timely to requests and concerns from users or others affected by the systems.accurately and promptly analyses and prioritises user needs and requests related to clinical information systems. develops, documents, and leads processes for multi-disciplinary end-user input regarding clinical systems and processes.provides proactive user support including, but not limited to, training and education. assists in the evaluation and development of training and in-service programs as required.functions as a resource person to nursing personnel to troubleshoot hardware and software problems or user learning needs.maintains membership on, or consultation to, appropriate committees, work groups, or task forces as needed to facilitate the ongoing process of the design, implementation, and revision of automated and manual components of the clinical information systems.maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and issues in healthcare, nursing practice, healthcare informatics, and clinical applications currently in use.participates in presentations and publications about clinical information systems at conferences and in journals as appropriate. attends relevant conferences and seminars.performs other related duties as allocated by the director of department.skillsfamiliar with hospital operations and relationships of programmes to various hospital departments.excellent skills in communication, organization, prioritization, autonomous practice, conflict management and analysis of effectiveness and efficiency of the programme.well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills.strong negotiation and facilitation skills.ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.proven management and leadership skills.demonstrated ability to fluently speak, read and write in english.educationbachelor degree in nursing.
