Job summaryleads and directs the group contract and commercial preparation activities for the projects which may include analyzing, evaluating and contract budgeting. responsible for monitoring all types of agreements and contracts covering products/services provided by the organization to its clients and ensure that the company meets its contractual obligations to the customers’ complete satisfaction after award of any project. responsible for maintaining long term working relationship with clients by ensuring that the best services within quality and cost is achieved.  job roles & responsibilitiesprincipal accountabilitiesmanages all commercial issues that arise, including communicating and liaising the client, subcontractors and suppliers on such issuesdrives operations and profit plans to budget through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service, and outstanding execution of all strategiesdevelops and executes business strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the organization's strategic plansadditional job roles & responsibilities1.direct the preparation of contract and tender documents to be submitted for bidding and approve the sameensure that every contract / tender is well prepared, complete, accurate and organized and with minimal errors prior to submission.ensure that the best and most competitive tender is submitted in every project for bidding.ensure to check all cost breakdown estimation to comply with the standards and guidelines to guarantee efficiency of all documents in every bid.formulates and implements interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunitiesmonitors the implementation of commercial policies and procedures within the organisation ensuring legal compliance2. preparation of the budget of the awarded project in terms of material / machineries and manpower to ensure cost efficiency.ensure to monitor and control the cost of manpower, equipment and material for the ongoing project on monthly / quarterly basis through the cost controllers.ensure to monitor all company on-going projects, guide and direct contract manager and qs teams for mandatory procedures and actions on daily basis to achieve company targets.3. negotiates contract terms, pricing and payment schedule to ensure that the agreement with consultants and subcontractors/suppliers are commercially advantageous and within the approved budgets.ensures where possible that each project’s procurement will be finalized within the agreed baseline budget, or where possible even bettering those budget numbers.ensures no compromise on the quality of materials at all times while ensuring that all materials comply with the standards of the project specifications.4. produce and implement a claim management schedule for the control and monitoring of contractual claims, tracking and control of any variation/change order in the contract scope/schedule of the project.ensure proper timeous management, control and tracking of all variations and claims to be incorporated in the project on a monthly/quarterly reporting basis5.     attend contractual meetings with the client/consultant to make sure that project plans with regards to cost and time are achieved.analyze the actual site progress against the baseline schedule and cost budget on monthly and yearly basis.ensure to settle/close the pending commercial & contractual issues with the client, as well as ucc top management for smooth advancement of the project whenever needed6. monitors the on-going company running projects budgets, claims, time extensions, variations, value engineering for setting out the corrective actions and proper advice to top management and project team.monitor the company’s overall running projects cash-flow position to ensure the compliance with the budgeted costs on daily, weekly and monthly basis.ensure to give a support and back up on contracts level to the project team on daily basis.provide contractual advice on all contractual matters related to all ongoing projects skillsjob knowledge• contract claims – practical use of the various forms of contract conditions such as fidic or other related/bespoke documents.knowledge of contract and tender requirements, guidelines and procedures.knowledge of latest qatar specifications (qcs).knowledge of company’s products, processes and services.knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.expert knowledge of contracting concepts, uniform commercial codes and applicable local law and regulations.• erp knowledge preferably sap functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.job experiencetotal   18 year(s) on job     8 year(s) gcc    5 year(s)chartered membership of a professional organization such as ciob or rics.competenciescollaborationaccountabilityresiliencequalityleadershipcreates strategy -
