General description of role and responsibilities:creates initial concept packages with a strong design story to guide the design process through project completion.conducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at a final approved plan that meets the company's goals.sculpts interior spaces while considering architecture, interior design and landscape as a holistic experience, including furniture, lighting, artwork, and finishes/materials.leads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines manage communication and coordination with internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants.communicates conceptual design ideas through 2d and 3d presentation/design drawings and mood boards.leads the design management process.creates design and analytical presentations for c-suite.work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.participates in the construction administration of projects - including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intent.maintains updated records of employee population at each location.project management (coordinate stakeholders needs, coordination with fit-out contractors, boq preparation, contract reviews and supervision/inspection of fit-out projects)specification and procurement of ff&e vendor (furniture, fixtures, and equipment)compliance review - architectural, ada and life safety codes and regulations.capital and expense planning, review and payment processing.interfaces with all levels of management, departments, landlords, tenants, and owners.coordinates routine facilities management services with hard & soft services teams.maintains corporate office space standards program to ensure compliance of space standards and governing principles.informs themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies, manuals and procedures in place within hill international, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by hill.perform special projects as required.skillsqualifications, experience, knowledge and skills:bachelor's degree in interior design, interior architecture or related field from an accredited schoolproficient in autocad, sketchup, revit, 3d and other modelling software programsproficient in adobe creative suite applications (photoshop, illustrator, indesign) and bluebeamproficient in ms office, especially ms powerpointexperience with space planning software programs.knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, colour selections, and specificationsrendering and visual communication skills are highly desirable.passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient.detailed understanding of ff&e design and deliverablesexcellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work in multi-disciplined groups to achieve desired results.ability to work under tight time constraints, pressure and multiple priorities.strong skills in managing multiple projects, organization, time management, project management, teamwork, communications, adaptability, decision-making, customer focus, results orientation, and the ability to meet priorities and deadlines.
