Job summarythe bim manager interacts with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to develop and analyse the virtual construction process in order to maximize construction efficiency, job cost savings, as well as enhance project documentation & delivery.job responsibilities 1develop schematic and detailed level models including modeling identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information.coordinate with bim service providers and subcontractors.ensure the creation of new library components.compile contract bim close out documentation.prepare bim guidelines for project specific requirements.train the project personnel in the use of bim tools.job responsibilities 2plan and schedule, assist in cost report set up and forecasting, issue change orders, notices and revisions.develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions.keep bim revision log.derive material quantities.assist project team with construction coordination and scheduling.print drawing sets for team review.skillsjob knowledge & skills• excellent it skills: ms office, autodesk revit and programming.timely and accurate preparation of bim models, shop drawings, etc.provide daily and weekly timesheets.demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge.positive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing.ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.demonstrate effective communication skills.work with minimal supervision.very good knowledge of planning processes in building construction and cad standards.a team player with a high level of initiative, reliability and accuracy.creative and forward thinking.socially competent leadership.• erp knowledge preferably sap functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.job experience10 years total5 years on job5 years gcccompetenciescollaborationaccountabilityresiliencequalityleadershipcost management l4qa/qc l4creates strategy - proficientdrawings/specifications l4drives performance - proficientdevelops future leaders - proficientconstruction design software l4hse l4educationbachelor's degree in engineering or any related technical certificates
