Position title: technical service engineer - saudi arabia, jubail

The technical services engineer is responsible for responding to technical product requirements and/or processing coming from the customer. they work in tandem with regional sales managers to ensure that quality and delivery of products may be obtained. they are responsible for technical reports, new product development, analytical testing of raw materials and finished products, presenting technical analysis to customers and supporting sales. position is assigned in the gcc region where they are responsible for market penetration to grow revenue aligned with the company’s growth strategy. travel to other territories may be required. key accountabilities: strategic contribution:long term development projects for targeted customer and market needs.positioning ingenia as a technology leader in the industry. effectively resolve customers technical issues (product and processing).budgeting, time & cost control:manage internal resources effectively.customer relationship managementliaise with commercial manager and salespeople to define customer needs. conduct customer trials.prepare regulatory and technical documents for customers (fda, reach, msds, ds, coneg etc).product recommendationscustomer presentationsmeeting with customers with sales team to promote our products.development of new productsdevelop the new products based on market/sales requirements.recipe management.reverse engineering of the samples and suggest the products from ingenia’s portfolio,maintenance of iso documentation, timely calibration of machines.evaluation of new suppliers and materials.testing of raw materials and finished productsconduct the testing on raw materials, customer samples and finished goods with hplc, xrf, ftir, dsc, utm and other available testing equipmentcommunications & working relationships:internal: communicates with masterbatch salespeople to determine customer needs.communicates with operations team to support them during plant trials. communicates with operations/qa teams and support them by conducting trials in r&d and/or doing required testing.prepares trial reports for internal users. provides feedback from customer to manufacturing plant and qc/qa personnel.external:communicate with raw material suppliers regarding qualifications.communicate with customers and participate in customer visits when requested by sales team. represents the company at industry trade conferences and events.minimum qualifications:bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical or polymer engineering with a high gpaknowledge of thermoplastic (pe, pp, ps) processing technologies - specifically customer’s conversion processes such as polymer production, blown film, cast film, profile and pipe extrusion, injection molding, blow molding and roto-molding, bopp films.knowledge of additives and formulations for pe and pp. typical knowledge of physical and analytical testing techniques to the polymer industry minimum experience:7 - 15 years progressive experience in a combination of sales, processing, technical service and/or r&d in the polymer processing or polymer production industry.experience of managing relations with suppliers and customers. experience managing internal resources.skillsjob-specific skills:in-depth and expert knowledge of polymer science and engineering including customer conversion processes, polymer properties and formulating pe and pp materials. good knowledge of english language is required. knowledge of a second language, particularly arabic, hindi or tagalog is an asset.working knowledge of hplc, ftir, xrf, dsc, utm and other analytical testing techniques.proficient in microsoft word, excel, powerpoint . excellent presentation skills requiredextensive overnight travel required
