Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures under the general direction of the chief anesthesiologist.  duties and responsibilities       :provides anesthesia under the general direction of the chief anesthesiologist with most anesthetic agents, methods, and techniques for general surgery, ophthalmic, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic, ent surgery, and pediatric surgery except neonates and infants, extremes of age (geriatric), cardiothoracic and neurosurgery and major surgeries. observe safety standards in the operating room as related to anesthetic agents and equipment. interview patients scheduled for surgery to assess and develop an anesthesia care plan to establish rapport and allay fear and apprehension.observe the patient post-operatively to evaluate recovery from anesthesia, assess complications make recommendations as indicated, and sign the pacu form before discharging the patient from the recovery room. assist in serving on the code blue committee and team.keeps current with new procedures and techniques in the field of anesthesia.performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by the chief anesthesiologist.stay in the hospital after the regular working hours for operations and procedures.consult daily with the chief anesthesiologist regarding matters pertaining to the administration of the department.contacts frequently the consultant and specialists of other services to exchange information or solve technical advice and guidance to nursing staff, other specialists, and residents as required and provides orientation/ training in new techniques and procedures.organize and direct q.i activities of this division, including preparing reports, etc. as required.takes an active part in teaching junior anesthesiologists and other nursing staff.participates in cme programs of almoosa specialist hospital. provide adequate patient and family education clearly and simply.treats patients with compassion and in person-centered care.provide personalized coordinated care, support, and treatment for patients and families. treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.involving patients in decisions and helping them take actions to support themselves.involve patients, families, and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.dedicated to the education of health professions students, residents, and fellow physicians so they can work together in multidisciplinary teams to provide competent, ethical, and continuous person-centered care. skills skills & qualifications           :graduation from an accredited school of medicine with an m.s. degree; must have completed an accredited anesthesia residency program and be eligible for certification by the state board of anesthesiology.post certification by the state board of anesthesiology. minimum of two years of experience after master's degree or total experience of a minimum of five years in the management of most types of anesthetic agents and techniques in all types and ages of patients except infants, neonates, and premature and geriatric age.comprehensive knowledge of the safe use of all general anesthetic agents, techniques, and methods currently accepted in the practice of anesthesia is preferred.   excellent command of oral and written english.must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice, with mature clinical judgment and the ability to provide professional leadership.
