Develop, lead, and implement business cost reduction strategies through sourcing to improve our cost position without sacrificing quality.evaluate, coordinate, and support sourcing opportunities and product development by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers while leading the qualification process.support the technical team in the bidding phase to obtain best prices and shorten lead times.challenge existing suppliers to recommend more cost-effective and/or more reliable products that will improve our competitive position.coordinate with the technical team to gather information and prepare request for information (rfi) documents to potential suppliers.validate and confirm with the sales and technical team the quantity and specifications required for purchase requisition preparation.perform market scanning for new suppliers and subcontractors to enhance total cost of ownership in each suppliers’ category.lead vendor qualification ensuring vendor products meet legislative, customer, and company engineering requirements.maintain an efficient database for suppliers' offers and data for tracking and reporting.prepare project procurement plans in coordination with project managers.skillsbachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components and systems.excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.proficiency in ms office suite and procurement software.knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
