Early childhood counselor for neom community school as an early childhood counselor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the emotional, social, and behavioral development of young children. the early childhood counselor is responsible for providing personal and/or academic counseling along with the support services necessary for their implementation. important note: this role necessitates an individual who is comfortable with relocating to neom independently.job responsibilitiesprovide academic and personal counseling on a drop in or scheduled basis.present classroom guidance materials for appropriate goals.provide individual counseling (personal/emotional, academic and behavioral).provide scheduling of classes for students as needed.process academic/behavioral referrals with staff. establish procedure based on district policy and follow through with appropriate action.assists teachers in understanding their students, including providing and interpreting student data.administer entrance exams and assess student abilities. if eligible for entry, do the paperwork to admit the student. if not eligible do the paperwork and communication necessary to have the student and their parents notified of such a decision. / place students in appropriate class rooms. students with special needs are referred to the special education department chair for assessment and placement.monitor academic progress of students through coordination of mid-term progress reports, quarterly grade reports, and close contact with teachers. stay in touch with parents of students whose grades indicate they need help. schedule and chair parent / teacher conferences regarding behavioral or academic progress.actively participates in student support team meetings regarding academic development.schedule individual related ability testing with the principals. order tests for student evaluation welcome new students/families and assist in their adjustment to the school.provide information to parents interested in seeking information about a school for a student that has special educational needs.provides in-service training on topics related to the school counseling program and supporting student achievement.other duties that may, from time to time, be requested by the principal. job requirementsdegree in counseling/related field. master’s degree is preferred.minimum of 3 years’ experience working with young children.strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.skillsempathy communication active listening problem-solving collaboration
