Procurement strategy: develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the hotel's objectives, focusing on optimizing cost efficiencies without compromising quality.supplier management: cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.inventory management: oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and ensure adequate supplies are maintained to meet operational requirements while minimizing excess inventory.quality control: uphold strict quality standards by conducting regular inspections of received goods and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.budget management: work closely with the finance department to develop and manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.team leadership: lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.process improvement: continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and maximize productivity.compliance: ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures, related to procurement activities.skillsbachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. master's degree preferred.proven experience as a purchase manager or in a similar procurement role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment.strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.proficiency in procurement software and microsoft office suite.exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.knowledge of local suppliers and market trends in dubai is an advantage.fluency in english; additional languages such as arabic is a plus.
