Job descriptiona finance and planning analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support the strategic and operational goals of an insurance company. the analyst will work closely with the finance and business leaders to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability. what you will doprepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the group and subsidiariesdevelop and maintain financial models and projections for various scenarios and initiativesassist with the annual budgeting and planning process and monitor actual performance against targetsconduct variance analysis and provide insights and recommendations to managementsupport the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis for new projects and investmentsperform ad hoc financial analysis and research as requested by management or stakeholdersensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations skillsrequired skills to be successful:proficient in excel, powerpoint, and financial modeling toolsexcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentattention to detail and accuracy what equips you for the role:bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fieldminimum 10 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting in the insurance industryqualified accountant with professional certification (e.g. cpa, cfa, acca, etc.)strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements, especially ifrs 17
