Location: al ain descriptionin this role, you serve patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to a multidisciplinary healthcare team and monitoring patient drug therapies. furthermore, you will be responsible for:prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities;dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals;controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions;completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing pharmacy assistants work flow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, verifying order entries, charges, and inspections;provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals, counseling patients on drug therapies;develops hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs, training pharmacy staff and health care professionals;protects patients and staff by adhering to infection-control protocols;maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies;contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety and environmental, standards;attends timely all phone queries;performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned;ensures safety standards are compiled (occupational and patient safety).skillsskills & competencies:excellent communication skills, in both english and arabic;you are living in the uae; advise the patient on how to take his or her medications.familiarity with drug administration and health safety procedures;knowledge of computers and drug prescription software;excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy.analytical skills;strong numerical skills;attention to detail.education & qualifications:bachelor’s degree in pharmacy;1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;holder or eligibility of doh license.
