Responsible for installing and maintaining electrical power and repairing any equipment or device that involves electricity.your responsibilitiesassemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power toolsdiagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the probleminspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codesadvise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardousplan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codesmaintain records and files, prepare reports, and maintain supplies and equipmentprovide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, flares, etc.skillsyour qualificationsdiploma or bachelors’ degree in electrical or related fieldrelevant certificationsminimum 5 years’ experience as an electricianyour proficienciesuse of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lampsability to read electrical drawingsexcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilitycommunication skills
