An excellent opportunity awaits a highly experienced director of procurement to join a riyadh-based global client. managing and overseeing all activities of the procurement and contracting function to develop and align functional strategy and objectives develop, monitor, and implement departmental policies and procedures.manage allocated annual departmental budget by controlling expenditures, cost reduction initiatives, and reporting variances in actual versus budget.establish and manage an effective vendor prequalification process for the creation of an approved vendors list. prepare periodic performance reports.manage and oversee purchasing analysis studies.  liaise with companies’ management to understand their future procurement needs.manage the preparation of procurement statistical reports.direct, and lead the preparation of request for quotations, request for proposals, and relevant documents and oversee the process of evaluating offers and determining successful vendors. review all contract/ agreement provisions.follow up and resolve discrepancies in invoices with concerned vendors and ensure maintenance of comprehensive record system.close collaboration with different departments to evaluate their procurement requirements, predict demand, and create streamlined procurement procedures in line with budgetary limitations.provide guidance and leadership to all departmental staff to achieve agreed-upon targeted goals and objectives. additionally, you will be instrumental in driving sustainability initiatives by identifying environmentally friendly suppliers and implementing responsible sourcing practices to align with the company's corporate social responsibility goals.keep a vigilant eye on market trends, you will identify potential risks and opportunities, recommend innovative procurement solutions, and stay updated on industry best practices to continuously enhance the procurement function.responsible for monitoring and analyzing vital performance indicators like cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance, providing detailed reports on procurement achievements, and spearheading ongoing enhancement endeavors across the organization.track and analyze kpi’s, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance, to deliver comprehensive reports on procurement successes and spearhead ongoing improvement initiatives throughout the organization.monitor market trends and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities providing recommendations for innovative procurement solutions and staying updated on industry best practices to enhance the procurement function.skillsbachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent (master's degree is preferred). ten plus years of procurement experience with 3 years managing a team demonstrated leadership ability.  excellent communication and presentation skills. computer software knowledge in ms excel, ms word, and ms powerpoint. demonstrated negotiation abilities and persuasive selling techniques excellent analytical skills and ability to plan, forecast, and exercise sound judgment.strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate inventory needs throughout the company strong management and leadership skills. positive demeanor.
