Setting and reporting:this leadership position offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our global headquarters in dubai. the chief of service, programme management will report directly to the secretary-general and play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, development, and execution of uecn’s initiatives across our global offices.responsibilities:-as the chief of service, programme management at uecn, you will lead our efforts in designing, implementing, and overseeing programs that support and advance the mission of uecn. your responsibilities will include:-developing strategic programmatic initiatives that align with uecn's goals, facilitating collaboration across departments and international offices.-overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet organizational standards and objectives.-leading and mentoring a diverse team of program managers and specialists, fostering an environment of professional growth and excellence.-acting as a primary liaison with key stakeholders, including government entities, partner organizations, and funders, to secure support and funding for programs.-analyzing program outcomes and providing insights for continuous improvement, ensuring the sustainability and impact of uecn’s work.-ensuring effective communication and coordination between the programme management office and other units within uecn.competencies:-leadership: demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving excellence and meeting organizational objectives.-strategic thinking: strong capability in strategic planning and program development, with a focus on achieving long-term goals.-communication: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.-adaptability: ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.-problem-solving: strong analytical skills and the capacity to solve complex problems and implement solutions.skills-bachelor's degree in international relations, business administration, or a related field.-a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in program management, project leadership, or a related role.-proficiency in english is required; additional languages are a plus.-proven ability to manage programs or projects, particularly in an international or multicultural environment.-demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and engage effectively with stakeholders across various levels.-while we have outlined these qualifications, we believe in the potential of individuals who have a strong belief in their capabilities. if you believe you qualify and can contribute significantly to our mission, we encourage you to contact us.
