We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced qs engineer to join our team in eastern province, saudi arabia. as a qs engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the quantity surveying process for our projects. this includes preparing cost estimates, conducting feasibility studies, analyzing project specifications, and managing contracts and procurement.responsibilities:prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.analyze project specifications and drawings to identify any potential risks or issues that may affect cost estimates or project timelines.conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of potential construction projects, including analyzing costs, timeframes, and resources required.manage and oversee the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.prepare and manage contracts and procurement activities, including reviewing and negotiating contract terms, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.monitor construction progress and costs, and provide regular reports to project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met within budget.collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in quantity surveying, and incorporate best practices into project processes and procedures.assist with the resolution of any disputes or claims that may arise during the construction process, including providing expert advice and documentation support.preferred candidate:bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.minimum of 5 years of experience working as a qs engineer in the construction industry.strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, practices, and techniques.excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex construction data and make informed decisions.proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools, such as costx or buildsoft.strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.skillsquantitative analysiscost estimationfeasibility studiescontract managementproject coordination
