The dietician/nutritionist is responsible for providing professional consultation and advice on patient’s health needs. he/she designs nutritional programs to improve and maintain the health of the patient. counsel and assess patient dietary health needs and wellness goals and develop appropriate nutrition programeducate patients on nutrition to promote healthy eatingevaluate the effects of meal plans and revise the plans as neededwork and collaborate with other medical doctors to achieve patient’s health goalswrite reports to document patient progress and maintain an accurate recordswork directly with the medical director to ensure quality of medical protocolsattend and participate in conferences, meetings and other activities in order to maintain and improve the quality of service provided in the clinicdevelop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge, skills and expertisekeep up to date on latest nutritional science researchcommunicate and liaise with health/medical authorities when requiredensure adherence to local, state and federal laws in administering treatmentsskillsminimum qualifications and knowledge:bachelor’s degree of science in dietetics orbachelor’s degree in health science with major in nutrition and post graduate diploma or master in dietetics orbachelor’s of science in nutrition/public health nutrition  minimum experience:5+ years experience as clinical dietician in a health facility or nutrition in the uae. job-specific skills:knowledge of food plans and nutrition programs behavioural competencies:excellent interpersonal and presentation skillsstrong communication skillsgood decision making skillscustomer focusedhigh level of professionalism
