We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sr. quantity surveyor / commercial engineer to join our dynamic team in dubai, uae. as a sr. quantity surveyor / commercial engineer, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of the commercial and contractual elements of the project. your expertise will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and on time. responsibilities:preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materialsconducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costspreparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contractscoordination with project teams to ensure proper cost control and reportingmonitoring and analyzing project costs against budget, identifying and addressing any variancespreparing and submitting progress claims and variation claimsreviewing and advising on contractual obligations and rightspreparing and maintaining a risk and value management planproviding advice on contractual claims and disputesconducting site visits to evaluate progress and compliance with contractual requirementsensure prompt and regular submission of main contract interim payment application along with supporting documents and negotiate with consultant to receive timely certification.preparation of statement at completion and final account along with supporting documentsadvice and discuss with project manager and contracts manager on cost implication of variationsprepare estimate for extra works, preparation of variations, negotiating and follow-up variations with consultant.unit rate analysis and new rate build-upmaintaining a variation log that tracks the current status of all variations, substantiation, negotiation and agreement of variations with the client/ consultant.prepare quantity take off from ifc drawings & boq preparation for sub-contract agreements.compiling enquiries for sub-contractors’ and suppliers to request for quotations (rfq)analyze the changes of drawing for sub-contract payment based on actual progressfield visits to evaluate and certify the quantity of work done before any certification of sub-contractor/supplier payment and conduct re-measurement/site measurement if requiredreview, evaluation and certification of sub-contractor payment application.preferred candidate:bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, commercial engineering, or a related fieldminimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or commercial engineeringknowledge of local construction regulations and practices in dubai, uaeproven track record of successful project delivery within budget and time constraintsstrong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and standardsexcellent negotiation and communication skillsexcellent english at all aspects, arabic is a plusability to work independently and as part of a teamdetail-oriented and highly organizedproficient in relevant software applications such as ms excel, autocad, and cost estimation softwareskillsstrong analytical and problem-solving skillsexcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesattention to detail and accuracyability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesstrong interpersonal and communication skills
