We have a new position opened for a multi-skilled sheet metal fabricator for a family run engineering firm who are based in attleborough, norfolk. we are only able to consider applicants who can mig & tig weld, as well as operate manual fabrication machines such as presses, punches etc. due to a recent retirement of a long-term member of staff, the company have a gap in their production team & need an experienced fabricator who can come in and hit the ground running. competitive & negotiable salary offered that will reflect the experience / skill set of the successful candidate. you will be one of a team of 6 multi-skilled sheet metal fabricators working on a variety of different products of various shapes & sizes. all the company's staff are multi-skilled. this means you will need to be versed in mig & tig welding, as well as fabrication machinery, i.e., punch press, brake press etc. we are open to some level of training, but this is subject to the candidate, other requirements include: competent in mig & tig welding experience welding thicknesses from 1mm - 20mm ability to work with mild & stainless steel & aluminium able to read & work from engineering drawings independently ability operating manual fabrications machinery / tools such as saws, drills etc. experience operating & setting cnc sheet metal machinery such as press breaks, guillotines & punch presses this is a permanent role offering an excellent rate of pay with the possibility of a pay rise after 3 months subject to a successful probation period. standard working hours are 08:00 - 16:30, monday - friday with overtime available throughout the year. overtime is also paid at an increased rate. the company also provide a private health care scheme one you have passed your probation. as this is a small independent, family run firm you will find that there are lots of additional benefits that you may not find in larger companies. due to the location, you will need your own form of transport to get there. if you think this role may be of interest but would like some further information on the role, please contact carl at prime appointments. check out our website for my contact details. #tier2
