We are a sunday times top track 100 company and one of the uk 's fastest growing privately owned companies. the range has grown enormously since its inception in 1989, and now has over 200 stores nationwide. people are at the heart of our retail concept, and we want to invest in our staff and make the future extraordinary. as a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic graphic designer to be based at our head office in plymouth. about the role: the successful candidate will be working within the design team, on various projects ranging from product comms and packaging . the role will include creating and developing graphic elements fit for print design purposes, so knowledge of file types and colour profiles will be an advantage. duties and responsibilities: create and amend artwork files from master design templates in line with creative guidelines.adapt images throughout the artwork stages in preparation for repro, supporting the team at all times. you may be required to offer creative retouching where required.work alongside the design team, to ensure all creative work is produced to a high standard and completed within deadline.knowledge of a wide variety of printed marketing materials and branding.work as part of a team designing and producing regular packaging using eye-catching and consistent designs.work to a file management system, ensuring all design work is logged and filed.strong communication skills, and the ability to present work and reinforce your ideas. knowledge and skills: excellent use of adobe indesign, and photoshop, illustrator is essential.understanding of colour profiles, file & image formatting and output for print.experience of designing, printed brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers and packaging. good typography skills and eye for detail.highly creative with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and illustration.understanding of brands and the retail world. person specification: ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.a strong creative flair, and a strong visual sense.confident, with the ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple design projects. a pro-active team player able to work off of your own initiative who is organised and reliable.
