basic job functions:

nucor cold finish sc is seeking applicants for the position of an  accountant.  the role of the accountant is for the execution of day-to-day and month end business activities for both nucor cold finish south carolina and nucor bright bar ohio.  these activities may include gaap compliance, cost accounting, inventory reconciliation and roll-forward, gl account reconciliations, tax responsibilities, payroll processing, employee deductions, assisting with other financial or administrative transactions and general office duties.  responsibilities will include cross training with other finance department personnel.  occasional travel to other locations will be required. 

duties and responsibilities:

assist with gaap accounting and financial reporting erp testing, development, and optimization tax reporting cross training and backup for other divisions finance department projects as needed payroll processing and administration cost accounting & cost control analysis coordinate and collaborate across the product group and across nucor

safety is the most important part of all jobs within nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

minimum qualifications: one year microsoft excel experience ba in accounting willing to relocate for future advancement  preferred qualifications:

     1.   mba or cpa

      2. previous steelmaking, fabricating, manufacturing and/or cold finish experience
