Looking for a new start? an opportunity has arisen for two people to develop their hospitality skills. we are looking for assistance in the day-to-day management and running of dukes, a boutique georgian townhouse hotel, ranked first on trip advisor, offering luxury accommodation in the heart of bath. at dukes our focus is upon exceeding the expectations of both our international and domestic guests. the emphasis of the role concerns the satisfaction of the guests from first enquiry through to the warm and sincere departing exchanges at check out. you will be responsible for ensuring that all our guests enjoy an exemplary visit to bath and boast of the care extended towards them whilst at dukes. we are looking for two passionate professionals with a positive attitude and work ethic. this is a ‘hands on role’ that demands a ‘can do’ attitude with great enthusiasm to get the job done. the position requires: a passion for hospitality. excellent communication skills both written and verbal. ability to confidently oversee the management of all aspects of the day to day running of this boutique, independently run and operated business. a willingness to help with menial and repetitive tasks in a spirited manner as necessary, to cover in all areas of hotel management (reception, housekeeping, breakfast service, cooking, maintenance, gardening, etc) candidates, in addition, should demonstrate a useful combination of skills and resourcefulness that will assist with the smooth running of a 17-bedroom georgian property. front of house experience would be desirable. knowledge of ota’s, channel managers, etc. would be desirable or a willingness to learn one or both candidates would ideally have an interest in cooking to assist and cover for our full time breakfast chef. our cooked to order breakfast is one of the reasons that guests return to dukes time after time. knowledge of microsoft office suite. it is imperative that you are able to demonstrate having worked closely with one another within the hospitality industry. you will also need to demonstrate that you are team players with the ability to motivate, lead and work within a small team of dedicated professionals. we are seeking a couple with a warm and welcoming personality that places guests immediately at ease. all this should be underpinned by an intense attention to detail and determination for everything to be ‘just so’. start date - february 2021 in return we are offering: - competitive salary onsite accommodation - enviably located on great pulteney street utility bills included days off together 28 days paid annual leave. bonus opportunities we are unable to consider applicants with dependents or pets. in the first instance please forward to us: a covering letter introducing yourselves and explaining why you think the position may be suitable cv’s for both applicants in addition, if possible, any recent references and copies of any relevant certificates. christopher and carole cameron the owners of dukes look forward to hearing from you. email : cameron@dukesbath.co.uk post : mr and mrs c cameron, dukes 53-54 great pulteney street, bath, ba24dn only written applications. no telephone enquiries. no visits to the property. we will acknowledge receipt of your application. unfortunately, we will be unable to respond to each application on an individual basis. we will contact you if we wish to proceed with your interest further.
