multinational semiconductor company on this team, you will perform a critical role on a team working to streamline

the production of covid-19 test kits

position-validation technician

location-austin, tx (onsite)

duration- 12+ months contract

responsibilities:

manage and maintain testing systems, which includes replacing pc components, diagnosing hardware issues, and assembling new systems to include in the debug farmassemble and configure reference & validation platformsassemble, maintain, and debug validation systems in the lab - motherboards, voltage regulator modules, storage devices (sata, usb, pcie etc.)load operating system, flash fw, and bios images both in circuit and throughout of band fixtureshelp execute core-level test plans, using test automation and coverage tools to model and track resultsreproduction, troubleshooting, and triaging of defectsisolate issues by running experiments across the debug farm and collecting dataprioritize and efficiently manage several concurrent projects and testing tasks

preferred skills and attributes:

hands-on experience with assembling, set-up, and configuration of pc componentsexperienced use of tools such as jtag debuggers, logic analyzers, sata, usb, and pcie bus analyzersgood troubleshooting skills to isolate component issues from software issues and use errorsunderstanding of linux and windows operating systemsexperience and understanding of pc platform architecturehw and sw qa process and methodologyscripting languages such as bash, ruby, python, and perldetail oriented, with a drive to learn quickly in a dynamic environment

communication skills:

good oral, written and presentation skills

academic credentials:

technical college degree with possible specialization in hardware and software quality assurance preferred
