staffmark driver's is looking to add members to our growing team of professionals who hire and place commercial drivers in the brooklyn park, mn area!
the primary purpose of this position is to source, qualify and place drivers on assignment at our client/customer sites. the duties related to this position include recruiting, pre-screening, interviewing and verifying previous employment. in addition, you will support the team as dispatcher to act as a communication point for calls. you will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles.
the ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed. you must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
primary responsibilities:
perform recruiting activities, including but not limited to, social media recruiting, job board recruiting, networking, job fair attendance and direct sourcing.
conduct through interviews, background investigations and testing as required for client assignments.
retain current employees through engagement and retention focus
receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
required skills:
minimum of 1 year recruiting and / or dispatching
ability to use radio, phone and computer
professional appearance and demeanor
excellent oral and written communication skills
willing and excited to be part of a growing team
willingness to travel when necessary to attend meetings and training classes
