Technical sales advisor & warehouse operative the person we operate in a very unique and interesting industry where we manufacture or buy-in specialist tools and equipment, then sell these items via websites, email or telephone, and deliver the goods to every european country, plus japan, new zealand and australia. the job is very multi skilled and every day is different. we have a young small efficient team and employing the right person is essential, otherwise the team work balance will not work, so the right person must fit in. must be practical with their hands as well have good communication skills that can involve talking to customers face to face, via email and on the phone which can involve sales, technical queries or problem solving. must be it literate as able to use a variety of software. skills and knowledge you'll need: to be thorough and pay attention to detail the ability to work well with others and be a team player punctual with time keeping the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure to be flexible and open to change excellent verbal communication skills, particularly with customers the ability to work well with your hands thinking and reasoning skills carrying out sales face to face or via the phone or email to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device day-to-day tasks your day-to-day tasks may include: taking delivery of goods and storing them answering phone calls from customers with sales orders dealing with customer queries checking for damaged or missing items moving stock by hand or with machines packing and wrapping goods basic engineering tasking involving hand tools, drills and grinders loading goods for sending keeping stock records monitoring stock and reordering replenishments inputting and processing delivery labels ensuring the warehouse, yard and training centre is kept clean and tidy, plus all the packing areas we’ll give you all the training you need. when you start you’ll get training on our products and services, systems and processes, and handling real customer calls. you’ll have people around you to support you, regular coaching and training to make sure you’re always at the top of your game. there will be a 3 month probation period. after your training period which is dependent on the person there will also be a pay increase after a set initial period and periodical reviews. monday – friday 8.30am – 4.45pm 1 week every month: 8.00am - 4.15pm weekends off free onsite parking job types: full-time, permanent salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year covid-19 considerations: hand sanitising gel and a safe working social distance is in place. face masks are optional.
