the chief administrative officer – stevens point directs, administers, and has overall strategic responsibility for the internal operational activities in accordance with company (mchs) policies, goals, and objectives established by the board of directors, for assigned responsibilities.  marshfield medical center – stevens point includes the acute care and ambulatory operations in the communities of stevens point, plover, wisconsin rapids, wi and their surrounding communities. the chief administrative officer – stevens point is also responsible for articulating and promoting mchs’s vision and strategic direction and operating model.  the chief administrative officer – stevens point will lead efforts to achieve compassionate, high quality, cost effective integrated health care delivery by upholding mchs’s mission and core values. the incumbent in this position is expected to work on all key operational components of the business and other entities where cultivation and maintenance of positive relationships are critical to the success of the hospital.  the chief administrative officer – stevens point will report to the chief operations officer – wi.

job qualifications education

for positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the council for higher education and accreditation.

minimum required: bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, management or related field.

preferred/optional: master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, management or related field.

experience

minimum required: five years of experience within a complex health care organization including acute-care hospital operations, physician engagement and effective physician relationships, and outpatient service delivery systems. five years of experience in a senior leadership role with financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization. experience with for profit and with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations. knowledge of medical group practice, hospital management and healthcare industry; excellent oral and written communication skills, formal presentation skills; strong financial acumen, ability to think both strategically and tactically. excellent leadership skills; exemplary communicator; analytical & critical thinking skills; strategic & visionary skills; champions change; accountable, collaborative and results oriented.
