Director of clinical quality & compliance (rn) - united states, zaranj

A new jersey-based health services organization is currently seeking an experienced, licensed registered nurse (rn) to join their staff as their new director of clinical quality & compliance. in this role, the director of clinical quality & compliance (rn) will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and implementing the overall clinical operations of the nursing department, including patient, resident and participant services. 

responsibilities:

the director of clinical quality & compliance (rn):

ensures that the clinical nursing program reflects person centered care and is meeting cms standards evaluates care delivery to assess and identify ongoing opportunities to meet and exceed standards of care works closely with adons/educators and cco to monitor clinical onboarding, preceptor, and orientation programs to ensure clinical team members are safe and practicing using current clinical standards of care works with the homes and clinical leaders to encourage and facilitate the professional advancement of employees attends and participates in qapi meeting to direct team in what qapi initiatives need to be implemented based on events as they occur collaborates with the administrators and directors of nursing in communicating with the medical directors to ensure all services delivered to the residents meets quality standards of care reviews, tracks, and trends quality data and metrics; identifies any outlier areas for improvement; meets with nurse leadership to review, design, and implement targeted directed approaches to improving benchmarks and outcomes reviews risk management reports to identify trends or any specific resident related care concerns or issues and works closely with nurse leadership to implement risk reduction strategies and solutions performs routine site visits to all locations to evaluate the quality of services being provided to residents, participants, and families works with cco and home leadership to analyze survey results and works closely with team in developing plans of care and execution performs mock audits at home locations to prepare home for survey; identifies areas of noncompliance and ensures poc is created and executed presents at clinical steering committee meetings and all other relevant meetings to provide input, support, and appropriate execution reviews clinical data and analyzes trends; reports high risk concerns to cco and risk manager as appropriate; works with leadership in the home to address, reduce, and mitigate risk reviews incident reports to ensure investigations are comprehensive and completed in accordance with policy and standards prepares quality reports, as requested

qualifications:

3+ years of relevant work experience bachelor of science in nursing (bsn) nj registered nurse (rn) license working knowledge of electronic medical records microsoft office suite proficient solid assessment and research skills great interpersonal skills excellent communication skills (written and verbal) strong attention to detail highly organized

desired skills:

5+ years of nursing leadership experience
