job description:
long island fire proof door is one of the largest manufacturers of custom hollow metal doors and frames and stocking distributors of hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors and architectural finish hardware in north america. we are currently seeking a porter to join our port washington, ny office.
the office porter/custodian will be responsible for keeping the entire office clean, free from clutter and ready for business throughout the day.
job duties will include, but are not limited to
floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting). surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies). waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas). light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room). clean the truck bays, loading dock, and other outside locations as assigned. snow removal.requirements:
must have previous custodial & janitorial experience must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Long Island Fire and Door
