Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Chino - Losangeles jobs

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will track and maintain vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our employees. Tracking scheduled maintenance on all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, buckets, hydraulics, and other repairs. Ensure work orders and invoicing for repairs are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used. Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. Notify manager of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken. Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required. Assist with road calls and emergency services, as necessary. Adhere to First Group standards, policies, and procedures. Move vehicles safely between job and work area. Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

Fleet Maintenance Qualifications: Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. 3-5 years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience. Intermediate diagnostics skills and mechanical knowledge are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance standards. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA and EPA.

• Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.

• Coordinate needed equipment repairs between shops and plants

• Ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance tracking

• Implement and instruct driver safety meetings

• Track and Monitor Inventory

• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day.

• Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately reports any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

• Negotiate repair costs and approve repair expenses up to an authorized limit; secure rental vehicles when required

• Align repair costs with potential warranty coverage; communicate additional warranty needs to management

• Follow up on completed maintenance and repairs to ensure all service issues are resolved, vendor invoices are received, and repair/inspection documentation is obtained and filed

• Other general office duties as needed Qualifications

• Must have great management skills • Strong knowledge of DOT, CARB and OSHA regulations

• Experience with maintaining Wireless construction bucket trucks and road construction machinery.

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential

• Related experience

• Excellent Customer Service and communication skills.

• Dependable, detail oriented, organized, self-motivated
