Job Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant supports the Benefits & Wellness team in all operational and educational functions including monthly reconciliation of insurance invoices, assisting employees with benefits enrollment, and the promotion of new and existing benefits and wellness programs to the Bay Cove workforce. This is a non-exempt position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Functions of Position:

Assist in the administration of various employee benefits programs including group health, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement accounts, dental, vision, accident, disability and life insurance.
Maintain employee benefit records in HRIS ensuring benefits changes and enrollments are entered appropriately for vendor data transfers and payroll deduction.
Verify and reconcile all monthly group insurance plans and premium invoices and submit for payment approval.
Update benefits orientation materials and packets.
Support the Benefits & Wellness team in presenting information and answering questions for employees during New Hire Orientation.
Fields staff inquiries regarding benefit plans and escalates when necessary.
Support/Assist Benefits Manager and Director of Benefits & Wellness in completing benefits reporting requirements and ensuring distribution of required employee notices.
Support annual open enrollment project on benefits enrollment and eligibility platform, including extensive quality and accuracy testing; work with vendor, Benefits, Payroll and IT.
Quality check all status changes for employees becoming eligible for benefits.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for the position:

Demonstrated skills in reviewing and reconciling data for accuracy.
Ability to analyze data and accurately proof-read.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Creative approach to designing and updating communication materials.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
High proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Associates Degree required.
Bachelors of Sciences or Arts preferred
A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
